Quotations I, II, III

​Each large unrolled scroll-like piece of paper is divided up into a grid of squares three columns wide. This applied pictorial structure is a visual quotation of the Instagram feed grid format. Likewise, the hand gestures featured in each of the squares within the grid are also visual quotations; each either referencing an emoji hand gesture, a hand gesture from a religious artwork, or a hand gesture from an Instagram photograph of either food or drink, in which hands are being used to offer the consumable item up to the camera.
